Campus Bridge / Pioneer cohort

Empowering the next generation of media experts.

What happens when university students are given the opportunity to do more than learn: to create, collaborate, experiment and find their voice?

Campus Bridge is a media and communications incubation programme designed to equip tertiary institution students with practical skills, experience and confidence as emerging communicators.

Learning becomes practice.

Across its pioneer cohort, 14 fellows from Ahmadu Bello University, Bayero University and Ekiti State University explored digital content creation, storytelling, audio and video editing, podcasting, practical assignments and collaborative projects.

“The programme has improved my knowledge, boosted my confidence, and motivated me to keep learning and applying the skills I gained.”

Podcast production sparked a new interest for one fellow, while cross-institution group work helped others understand leadership, resilience and the value of showing up for a team.

One cohort completed. Another begins.

Ten pioneer fellows completed the programme and received certification in July 2026. The next cycle builds on those lessons with stronger onboarding, curriculum and performance-tracking tools.

“Campus Bridge helped me see leadership from another angle. It helped me show up even when I was tired.”

Campus Bridge ultimately turns ideas into stories, skills into action and young voices into meaningful impact, supporting more objective, constructive participation in Nigeria's media landscape.
